Accessibility at The Brook Brew Co.

At The Brook Brew Co., we’re committed to accessibility for everyone. As a proud member of the Westbrook Group of Companies, we are aligned with Westbrook’s ongoing efforts to remove barriers and ensure full and equal access for individuals with disabilities.

We strive to meet the standards outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and are actively working to ensure our digital content and services are inclusive, user-friendly, and compliant with recognized accessibility standards.

Our Commitments

Our website and digital materials are being developed with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA and PDF/Universal Accessibility (PDF/UA) standards. These efforts support our goal of meeting and exceeding AODA requirements across all Westbrook Group entities.

Here are a few ways we’re making our website more accessible:

  • Meaningful images include descriptive alternative (alt) text
  • We maintain appropriate colour contrast for text and background (minimum 4.5:1)
  • PDFs posted on our site are designed to meet accessibility standards (PDF/UA)
  • We use clear, readable fonts and maintain a consistent, predictable layout
  • Our site supports assistive devices and accessible navigation
  • All customer service and digital communications are designed to accommodate a variety of accessibility needs

To better support these commitments, we have implemented the Web Accessibility plugin by accessiBe to ensure all of our website users can enjoy a fully accessible browsing experience.

Ongoing Improvements

In partnership with Westbrook Group, we regularly review our website for accessibility issues and take prompt action to address any barriers. We also ensure all staff are trained on how to interact with individuals with disabilities, including the use of assistive devices, service animals, and support persons.
